Rosberg secures pole number seven after wet qualifying at Spa

Nico Rosberg has managed to secure his seventh pole position of the season, after a wet qualifying hour around Spa-Francorchamps ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix. The German will start alongside Championship rival Hamilton, with a second row consisting of Vettel and Alonso. Despite a dry conclusion to the third and final practice session, an extremely heavy rain and hail shower created a wet start to the opening segment of qualifying. However, the clouds eventually cleared to reveal bright sunshine and clear blue skies, despite the treacherous track conditions with some parts of the circuit even steaming in the rapidly changing conditions.
