Whiting: Sochi circuit will get F1 licence
– Formula 1 Race Director Charlie Whiting has confirmed that the new track in Sochi will be granted the necessary licence in order for it to stage the inaugural Russian Grand Prix in October.Whiting led an FIA inspection at the Sochi Autodrom circuit this week and said he was pleased with the facility."The circuit is in extremely good condition and – yes - it will be issued with a license," he commented."Everything has been done according to the plans – the kerbs are very good, the verges, the guardrails, the walls – everything is in an extremely good condition.
