Parabolica gravel trap replaced with tarmac

– The gravel trap on the outside of Monza's famous Parabolica corner has been replaced with tarmac.A thin strip of grass followed by a large area of gravel traditionally sat next to Parabolica, the final turn of the 5.793-km circuit, serving as a severe penalty to drivers who misjudged their entry and subsequently ran wide.But photographs emerged on Thursday showing tarmac in place of gravel ahead of this year's race.The Italian Grand Prix is the second event after the summer break, taking place from September 5-7.
