Massa: Williams surprised by recovery
Felipe Massa says Williams has surprised even itself at how strong it has been this season after a poor 2013. Last season Williams managed just five points all year, while Massa was scoring 112 alone as Ferrari amassed 354 points on its way to third place in the constructors' championship. However, this year sees Williams with the quicker car – though it dropped to fourth behind Ferrari at the Hungarian Grand Prix – and Massa admitted both he and the team has been surprised just how well it is performing. “I think everybody is surprised,” Massa said. “Everybody is surprised that the car is very competitive, but I think what we did from the winter until now was also very good.
