Pirelli announces compounds for Spa, Monza and Singapore

Pirelli has confirmed its tyre compound choices for the three races after the mid-season break. The season will resume with the Belgium Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, and Pirelli is set to bring the soft and medium compound tyres to the high-speed circuit, with cooler temperatures often experienced. The final European round takes place at Monza, with Pirelli nominating the medium and hard compounds for the Italian Grand Prix. It will be the fourth time this year that the combination is used following Malaysia, Spain and Britain, with Pirelli saying the choice “is to combat the high-energy loads that are put through the tyres as the result of high traction and braking demands, sustained...
