Massa blames Magnussen for first-lap crash
Felipe Massa has placed the blame on Kevin Magnussen for their crash at turn one on the opening lap of the German Grand Prix.
The two drivers had lined up third and fourth on the grid for the race, but contact at the first corner pitched Massa into a barrel-roll and caused Magnussen to spin.
The safety car was deployed to recover the Brazilian's damaged FW34 and clear the debris. He emerged from the scary crash unscathed but immediately retired from the race.
'I was in front, I was doing the corner in front of him. If anyone needs to watch, it is the car behind' he said.
