Perez poised from top ten start

Sergio Perez has says he was happy to repay the Force India team with a top ten berth in qualifying for the 2014 German Grand Prix at Hockenheim. Having struggled for single lap pace in free practice, Perez had predicted a tough qualifying session, even if he was expecting to come on stronger in the race. However, though hydraulic issues conspired to compound Perez's frustrations coming into qualifying, a single late lap in Q2 was enough to squeeze him into Q3 where he would go on to secure tenth place.
