Hamilton seeking damage limitation

Lewis Hamilton admits victory is out of the question in the German Grand Prix and hopes to limit the points gained by team-mate Nico Rosberg. Rosberg starts the race from pole position while Hamilton is likely to start from the pit lane after a brake failure in Q1 saw him crash heavily. When starting ninth in Austria Hamilton said he always targets victory, but he conceded it was too tall an order for him to believe he can beat his team-mate at Hockenheim. “Whenever the lights go out I'm always thinking of finishing the race first and that's always my target,” Hamilton said. “But I'd have to be smoking something to think I could really get first when Nico's there; if you look at the...
