Caterham axes more than 40 staff
Getty Images Enlarge The Caterham F1 team has laid off more than 40 staff members in a bid to cut costs, according to the BBC. Departures from the company include technical director Jody Eggington and head of track operations Gerry Hughes, though Caterham has refused to comment on the cuts. The BBC reports employees on larger salaries appear to be the main target of the cost-cutting measure, though junior staff are also understood to have been let go. The team is now advised by Colin Kolles, who forged a reputation during his time as HRT boss for running teams on a tight budget.
