Ecclestone's bribery trial extended
Bernie Ecclestone
Formula 1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone's Munich trial has been extended, as the volume of testimony and evidence has to be accommodated.
Originally, Ecclestone's corruption hearings were set to continue only until mid-September.
But the Austrian news agency APA reports that, on Tuesday, presiding judge Peter Noll presented to court additional dates through mid-October.
Ecclestone, 83, has had some good days in court recently, but Tuesday may not have been one of them.
A Swiss tax advisor to Ecclestone testified that the diminutive Briton ordered him to make secret payments to Gerhard Gribkowsky.
