Rosberg, Ricciardo escape penalties for practice incidents

Red Bull/Getty Images Nico Rosberg and Daniel Ricciardo have avoided penalties after overtaking rivals during the red flag period in Friday's first practice session. Rosberg passed Daniil Kvyat, while Ricciardo overtook Fernando Alonso, as the red flags flew following Felipe Massa's accident. But the stewards deemed that no further action was warranted. 'Having reviewed data from several cars in the same area of the track, several angles of video and having spoken to the driver concerned, the Stewards determined that: the driver of car number six [Rosberg] had driven the lap fully within the regulations and was travelling at a safe and reasonable speed throughout,' the stewards decided....
