Charlie Whiting plays down standing restart safety fears
dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.15;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"> SILVERSTONE, 4th July 2014 (F1 Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Charlie Whiting, FIA Race Director, has played down fears that standing safety car restarts will add risk to races. Last week the World Motor Sport Council approved changes for Formula One for the 2015 season onwards, including the introduction of a standard restart after a safety car period. The decision was met with criticism from fans and some drivers.
