Standing restarts get the green-light for '15

Formula 1 will switch to standing restarts following safety car periods next season in yet another move to add to the excitement. During a meeting in London this week, the F1 Commission agreed several changes aimed at spicing up the show for the fans, with rolling restarts highlighted as one area that can be improved. At present, once all lapped cars have passed the lead car and the safety car has signalled that it's to come into the pits, the leader controls the pace and can't be passed until the pack has crossed the first safety car line.
