Haas to announce F1 engine deal in 'next few weeks'

Prospective Formula One team owner Gene Haas has announced that he expects to be able to soon reveal which manufacturer’s engine his outfit will use on its entry to the sport. Haas, who announced last week that his team would delay its debut until the 2016 season, rather than the initially granted 2015 entry, was seen in discussions in the Ferrari hospitality unit over the course of the Canadian Grand Prix weekend, prompting speculation that the Italian firm is the American’s favoured choice of engine supplier. “We haven't signed a deal yet so I don't want to overstep my boundaries and put the cart before the horse,' Haas told Sky Sports F1. “But we are in negotiations and...
