Massa and Perez discharged from hospital

Felipe Massa and Sergio Perez have both been discharged from hospital after precautionary checks, following the pairs heavy accident on the final lap of the Canadian Grand Prix. Massa, running fifth in the late stages of Sunday’s race, collided with the rear of Perez’s Force India at high speed on the entry to turn one on the final lap of the grand prix, the Mexican’s car spinning off into the inside wall, while the Williams speared straight on, across the bow of Sebastian Vettel’s Red Bull in third, and then into the barriers. “I saw something white coming in the mirror and I opened the car, turned right, and Felipe was in the air coming past,' said Vettel.
