Just one Friday practice session from 2015

Friday's running looks set to drop from two 90-minute sessions to just one next season in a bid to reduce costs. The proposal, put forward by the teams, is to push Thursday's media duties to Friday morning, followed by a late single 90-minute session which would start at around 17:00 local time. It's believed it would allow team personnel to arrive at the circuit a day later, reducing travel and hotel expenses. A reduction in pre-season testing to just two four-day tests, rather than three, was also discussed, as was two in-season tests rather than three, one of which would be dedicated to young drivers.
