Ricciardo excited by Mercedes rivalry

Daniel Ricciardo believes Red Bull will struggle to get near Mercedes during this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix but is excited by potential fireworks between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. Red Bull was close to Mercedes in Monaco a fortnight ago, with Ricciardo closing Hamilton down in the final stint of the race but ultimately unable to snatch second place. With the Mercedes power unit set to be much more influential on the high-speed Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Ricciardo conceded that he doesn't expect to be able to challenge in a similar fashion this weekend. “I don't think it's going to be as easy - well, not that Monaco is easy - but we'll struggle a bit more to stay close to them...
