McLaren: Honda has no intention to buy into the team

McLaren has put an end to speculation suggesting that Honda could be set to buy into the team on top of its power unit supply in 2015. The Japanese marque confirmed last year that it would be returning to the sport in 2015, powering McLaren and rekindling their famed partnership in the late 1980s. For now, the British team remains its total focus, and it will enjoy exclusivity for the first year of their deal. Reports doing the rounds in the paddock suggested that Honda could go one step further and buy into McLaren. However, the team has since poured cold water on this speculation.
