McLaren denies Honda stake reports

– McLaren has denied reports that future engine partner Honda is interested in buying a stake in the team.It had been suggested that Honda, returning to the fray next season having previously supplied the outfit with engines from 1988 to 1992, was interested in securing shares held by Bahrain's Mumtalakat Holding Company.But a statement issued by McLaren on Thursday brushed the recent media speculation to one side."Contrary to recent media reports, Honda has informed us that it has no intention to buy into McLaren," a spokesman explained.
