Alonso praises points-scoring Bianchi
Marussia F1 Team
Double world champion Fernando Alonso has praised Jules Bianchi after the French racer finished in the top 10 at last weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.
Bianchi, a member of Ferrari's Driver Academy, finished the race in ninth place to collect not only his first Formula 1 points, but the first for Marussia in over four years of competition.
Alonso believes that Bianchi is on course for a great career in Formula 1.
"We spend a lot of time together in Maranello, we play football, we go cycling, we travel together on the same plane for some races," Alonso told Reuters.
"He's a friend and I'm extremely happy for him and very proud of what his result will mean for him...
