Ericsson penalised for Massa clash

– Marcus Ericsson will start the Monaco Grand Prix from the pit lane after the stewards deemed that he was at fault for a collision with Felipe Massa in qualifying.Massa was attempting to let Ericsson by at Mirabeau in the opening stages of Q1 when the Caterham driver, who has also been given two penalty points, lost control of his car and slid into his Williams rival.Although Massa made it through to the second phase, he was unable to make it back to the pit lane and thus could not take part.Toro Rosso's Daniil Kvyat was given a reprimand for a separate incident with Pastor Maldonado, the stewarding panel taking the view that the Russian impeded the Lotus driver at Turn 19 in Q1.
