Alonso – Ferrari yet to feel the impact of Mattiacci appointment
Fernando Alonso has explained that little has changed within Ferrari since Marco Mattiacci was appointed as Team Principal back in March. Mattiacci, a star of the Ferrari road car division in North America took charge of the Scuderia ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix, after long time boss Stefano Domenicali resigned in light of the Maranello outfit’s dismal start to the season.
However, despite the change in leadership at Ferrari, the team is still yet to finish higher than third in a grand prix this season, while the Spanish Grand Prix marked an entire calendar year since the team last won a race, the Scuderia’s most barren spell in 20 years.
