Red Bull will challenge ¿ Alonso

Fernando Alonso believes Red Bull will challenge Mercedes at the front of the grid during this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix. The two-time Drivers' Championship winner believes the narrow Monte Carlo street circuit will negate the power advantage Mercedes has over their rivals and will suit the composition of the RB10. "This year I think Monte Carlo will be one of the few possibilities to challenge Mercedes, especially for Red Bull," Alonso told reporters. "In the corners they are very fast but on the straights they seem to lose a lot of lap time. "In Monte Carlo there are no straights so Red Bull could challenge Mercedes there."
