Pic – It's good to be back behind the wheel

Charles Pic has declared himself happy after his return to an F1 cockpit on day one of the post-Spanish Grand Prix test. Pic took a surprising second on the timesheets on a day where adverse air and track temperatures wreaked havoc with the teams intensive testing-programmes, not to mention Pirelli’s own tyre-programme. But the Lotus reserve driver continued the team’s recent upturn in form after a difficult first four races, and said he was happy to be back. 'The morning was not ideal as it was raining so we were not able to start our programme,' he said.
