Todt says Russian GP will go ahead

FIA president Jean Todt is committed to the inaugural Russian Grand Prix remaining on the Formula 1 calendar, despite World Superbike organisers cancelling their round of the championship scheduled to take place at Moscow Raceway in September. Todt told reporters, 'At the moment there is no change to the calendar. Russia is on. I am comfortable with what the FIM [Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme] has done, but at the moment we don't have any reason to reconsider any race we have on the calendar.' The Russian Grand Prix weekend, the first in Formula 1 history, is scheduled to take place on 10-12 October at the Sochi International Street Circuit. Todt was elusive when asked if...
