Gribkowsky to testify in Ecclestone bribery trial on Friday

Bernie Ecclestone with Gerhard Gribkowsky Drama in Bernie Ecclestone's bribery trial in Munich will step up a gear on Friday. SID news agency reports that Gerhard Gribkowsky, the jailed former banker who the Formula 1 supremo is alleged to have bribed to the tune of $44 million, will make his first appearance at Ecclestone's trial as the star witness. It is on the conflicting accounts of Gribkowsky and 83-year-old Ecclestone that the whole corruption scandal turns. Gribkowsky, already serving an eight and a half year jail sentence for receiving Ecclestone's money, is expected to confirm prosecutors' claims that he was paid in order to influence the sale of Formula 1′s commercial...
