Rossi gets FP1 outings in Canada, United States

Alexander Rossi will take part in the opening practice sessions for Caterham at the Canadian and United States Grands Prix this season. The America, who currently races in GP2 with Caterham, has yet to drive the new 2014 car, but will get the chance first in Canada and then again later in the year at his home race. The 22-year-old has driven the car in the simulator, but not on track. "Each time I step into F1 machinery there is an important job to do," Rossi said. "Montreal and Austin are important races for me and I want to thank Caterham for the opportunity to continue my development to a full time race seat in F1.
