Bell to depart as Mercedes technical director
Mercedes AMG Petronas
Mercedes has announced that technical director Bob Bell will leave the team at the end of the season.
Bell joined Mercedes at the start of 2011 and has held the position of technical director for the past few years.
Bell has enjoyed a distinguished career in Formula 1 having worked for Benetton and Jordan, before overseeing Renault's championship seasons as technical director in 2005 and 2006.
Mercedes said that the role of technical director would not be filled.
'Bob resigned his position in December 2013 and will leave the team at the end of November 2014, with the intention of pursuing new challenges outside the company', read a statement released by the team....
