Technical Director Bell to depart Mercedes

– Bob Bell will depart his role as Technical Director of the Mercedes F1 team at the end of the season. Bell, who has held the position since April 2011, tendered his resignation in December of last year and is set to leave the Brackley-based outfit at the end of November, with the ambition of "pursuing new challenges". Mercedes is to "streamline" its technical team moving forward, making clear that the Technical Director role will not be replaced, with Executive Director Paddy Lowe assuming the responsibilities previously held by Bell.
