Stefano Domenicali resigns from Ferrari team principal role

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has resigned as Ferrari team principal after six years in the role. Since taking over as team principal, the team has won just a solitary constructors' championship in 2008. Despite the arrival of Fernando Alonso at Maranello in 2010, Ferrari has failed to put up a serious, sustained challenge to Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel who have won the last four championships. Now, following the team's worst start to a season since 2009, Domenicali has fallen on his sword and made way. Reports in the Italian media this morning suggested that his resignation was imminent, and although the team is yet to release a statement, the news has been confirmed....
