Hamilton holds off Rosberg to win a frantic Bahrain Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton held off the advances of his Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg to win a frantic Bahrain Grand Prix, a race that went down to the wire after a late safety car call. Hamilton, having missed out on pole on Saturday, returned to form on race day, producing an imperious performance to claim his second win of the season, his first victory in Bahrain. Nico Rosberg came home second after a race long battle with his team-mate, while Sergio Perez saw off a late attack from Daniel Ricciardo to finish third, securing Force India’s first podium since the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix.
