Tyre management is still an important factor in Formula One, and the new Pirelli tyres this year have reset the metrics once again. Pirelli's Motorsport director Paul Hembery summarised 10 key points that are vital in understanding the differences with 2013. 1. More energy goes into the tyres from sliding Pirelli changed all the slick tyre compounds and profiles this year to take into account increased wheelspin and lack of downforce.
