Give new rules more time - Alonso

Ferrari's Fernando Alonso says Formula 1 needs to give the new rules more time to settle down before making changes to improve the show. F1 bosses are meeting this weekend in Bahrain amid concerns that new engines and limits on fuel use are causing viewers to turn off. 'We need to try to do a better show but we need to think in which way and give the new races more time,' said Alonso. 'We only had two. There will be some exciting races and some boring ones.' The 32-year-old double champion drew an analogy with football, saying: 'Some matches you watch a 0-0 and it's a terrible match and then the next week you see 5-4 and enjoy the game so much.
