Ricciardo given 10-place grid drop for Bahrain

– Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo has been given a 10-place grid penalty for the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix, with the stewards handing out an additional punishment for his unsafe release in Malaysia. The Australian was released from his second stop at the Sepang circuit with a loose left-front wheel, forcing him to halt in the middle of the pit lane before mechanics arrived to push him back and fit the tyre properly. Having been sent away for a second time, he suffered a front wing failure and was hit with a 10-second stop/go penalty, before he retired his car.
