Ericsson admits crash was driver error
With his first-ever F1 outing in the rain ending in the barriers, for Marcus Ericsson it was a lesson well learnt.
Ericsson compounded Caterham's many woes on Saturday afternoon when he crashed out of qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Lapping in the rain for the first time ever, the Caterham rookie admits he "made a mistake" which put him onto the wet grass and into the barriers.
His crash brought a premature end to Q1 for all the drivers with Ericsson finishing slowest of all, eight-tenths behind his team-mate Kamui Kobayashi who qualified P20.
