Power-unit problems persist at Lotus
The Lotus F1 Team encountered more problems with the new Renault V6 Turbo power-unit during Friday practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix, with Pastor Maldonado failing to complete any running in the second session.
It was a difficult day for the Enstone-based outfit with both cars suffering reliability issues. Maldonado only managed two laps in first practice and didn't run in the second session due to an engine change. Despite the unproductive day, the Venezuelan is optimistic that the problems can be solved for Saturday practice and qualifying.
