Renault accepts reliability needs improvement

– Renault Head of Trackside Operations Rémi Taffin has accepted that the manufacturer must make improvements ahead of the Malaysian Grand Prix. Only three of the eight cars supplied by Renault's power units made it to the finish at the Australian Grand Prix. A misfire in Sebastian Vettel's Red Bull caused a loss of power and the German retired from the race early on. Both Lotus drivers suffered MGU-K problems while Kamui Kobayashi's Caterham triggered an accident at the first corner after a brake-by-wire issue.
