Lotus confident of Malaysia improvement

Alan Permane, trackside operations director at Lotus, is confident that the Enstone-based team will make big steps forward at the second round of the 2014 season in Malaysia. Lotus suffered a double retirement in Australia on Sunday with Pastor Maldonado exiting the race on lap 29 and Romain Grosjean parking his E22 on lap 44. Both early departures were due to problems with the MGU-K. It concluded a terrible first race weekend for the team after reliability problems cost them track time on Friday and Saturday.
