Perfect start to 2014 season for Rosberg

Nico Rosberg started his 2014 season in the best way possible by powering to victory and dominating the Australian Grand Prix. He took the 100th race win by a Mercedes-powered car and the fourth of his F1 career. After a storming start that saw him leap from third to first, he soon pulled clear of the chasing pack and pitted for the first time on lap 12 in reaction to the deployment of the safety car. His commanding lead was cut to just a few tenths behind the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and after a four-lap break, the racing resumed.
