Grosjean: 'We still have a long way to go'
Romain Grosjean admits that the Lotus F1 Team still has a long way to go after he retired from the Australian Grand Prix on lap 44.
The Frenchman was forced to start from the pit lane and was handed a drive-through penalty before the lights went out for leaving his pit garage too early. He made one pit stop and was battling at the back of the field before an MGU-K problem forced him to park the car.
Despite a disappointing result, he was surprised by the number of laps he managed to complete. 'In a way, it was a pretty positive day,' he said. 'I expected to do around 15 to 20 laps in the race after all the issues we’ve had this weekend, and we managed 45.
