Software issues leaves Vettel out

Red Bull/Getty Images Reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel failed to make the Q3 cut for the first time since 2012 during qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix. Vettel set the 13th fastest time during Q2 but will start from 12th after a penalty for Valtteri Bottas. Red Bull believe that a software issue with his RB10 restricted his progress. "His engine software meant he was down on power with extremely poor drivability and we need to understand that, as it compromised his qualifying," said Red Bull team principal Christian Horner.
