Long Beach decision delayed

Formula One fans will have to wait a bit longer to learn whether the sport could be heading to Long Beach in the future. There was talk recently of Formula One staging a grand prix at the southern Californian resort, which last hosted the sport back in 1983. F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone was keen on seeing F1 return and spoke with Long Beach mayor Bob Foster about taking over when IndyCar's current lease expires. Foster put it to the council on Tuesday, however, according to the Press Association "it is understood no decision was reached on whether to put the contract out to tender.
