Alonso: Ferrari not yet where we want to be

– Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso has admitted that the Scuderia is not yet where they want to be with their new 2014 F1 car, the F14 T. Alonso concluded the fourth and final day of testing on Sunday with the third quickest time. However he was just over a second off the pace set by Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, and was disappointed to have a gearbox issue just before lunch. “The team did its utmost to carry out changes on the car as quickly as possible, but again today, we had planned to do more laps than we managed,” said Alonso, who in the end completed 74 tours. “There are a lot of things to learn with the use of the power unit to improve the performance of the car and we are not...
