Bahrain names corner after Schumacher
Turn 1 at the Bahrain International Circuit will be renamed after seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher.
The former Mercedes and Ferrari driver remains in a coma at the Grenoble Hospital having suffered severe head trauma in a skiing accident.
Track chairman Zayed Al Zayani says Schumacher's family has given the renaming their blessing.
"With the support of his family, it is a great privilege to be able to honour arguably the greatest racing driver in the history of F1 and someone who the people of Bahrain hold close to their hearts," said Al Zayani.
