Bahrain names corner after Schumacher

– Bahrain Grand Prix organisers have announced that the Sakhir circuit's first corner is to be named in honour of seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher from the 2014 season onwards. Schumacher, who remains in a coma at Grenoble Hospital following his skiing accident at the end of last year, claimed victory in the inaugural event at the venue back in 2004 and recorded the fastest ever lap time. The move, confirmed on the final day of pre-season testing, comes with the blessing of Schumacher's family.
