Perez the pacesetter at final pre-season test in Bahrain

Force India’s Sergio Perez finished with the fastest time on the opening day of the final pre-season test in Bahrain on Thursday.The Mexican took his Mercedes-powered VJM07 around the Sakhir circuit in 1m 35.290s in the morning session, and with many teams opting to concentrate on long runs, his time was not bettered in the afternoon.Unofficial Thursday test times from Bahrain1.
