Vergne confident in Toro Rosso chassis
Jean-Eric Vergne says he is confident that Toro Rosso has produced a strong car for the 2014 F1 season, despite the team continuing to be hampered by engine issues during the second pre-season test of the year in Bahrain.Vergne failed to even make the 20 lap mark on the fourth and final day at the Sakhir circuit after encountering a problem with his Renault power plant.Despite the further loss of track time, Vergne said he was staying upbeat about the year ahead and remained confident that Toro Rosso would be in a solid position once its current issues are resolved.“We had a major problem today,” he said following the final day of running in Bahrain, before conceding that the issue was...
