Ericsson finally earns superlicence

Caterham F1 Team Caterham driver finally completed sufficient running to earn his Formula 1 Superlicence. Drivers must possess a Superlicence in order to compete in the sport. Ericsson conducted 98 laps on the third day of the second test in Bahrain, which gave the Swede the requisite amount of mileage to earn the crucial document. "I’m pleased with how my first day on track in Bahrain went," said Ericsson. "98 laps is obviously very good news in terms of reliability, and it also means I’ve passed the 300kms I needed to do to qualify for a Superlicence."
