Lotus adds Charles Pic as third driver

February 21st, 2014 (F1plus/J. Leslie).- Charles Pic has joined the Lotus F1 Team as its third driver for the 2014 Formula 1 season. The Frenchman impressed in his debut F1 campaign in 2011, driving for Marussia, before switching to rivals Caterham last year. However, he failed to retain his seat and was replaced for 2014 by Kamui Kobayashi after a rather underwhelming season. Pic has now joined race drivers Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado at Lotus. He will conduct simulator work for the team as well as providing support at race weekends.
