Williams and Petrobras on verge of announcing new deal 18 February, 2014 Petrobras on the side of the Williams driven by Mark Webber in 2005 Williams and Petrobras, the semi-public Brazilian multinational energy corporation, are set to annoucne a three year partnership today [Tuesday] at a function in Rio de Janeiro. Accrding to reports in Brazil, deputy team principal Claire Williams will be present at the function, which reunites the two organisations. Williams and Petrobras have a successful past, between 1998 and 2008, the two companies were partners, through the Grove team's various periods with Mecachrome (formerly Renault V10), BMW, Cosworth and Toyota power.
